ClearStream RFID 7.0 Now Available

Calverton, NY (May 10, 2022) - Portable Technology Solutions (PTS) continues to set the pace for affordable RFID solutions able to adapt to any environment. ClearStream RFID 7.0 remains an accessible, powerful tool requiring no programming experience. 7.0 introduces a subscription model, BLE zoning, IoT device grouping, and the ability to quick scan; an exciting new feature that allows RFID to scan into any application.

The update comes with a web interface allowing users to manage an unlimited number of RFID/IoT devices from any web-enabled device. “ClearStream 7.0 builds on the flexibility of the software and adds a simple to use web console to view the status and health of your RFID and BLE system,” says Senior Software Engineer, Howie Heckman.

The new BLE Zoning feature is useful for tracking assets on the move. A real-time locating system that allows users to see the location of tagged data with simplicity. All that is required for constructing the zones are fixed RFID gateways and BLE beacons. Customers have the freedom to arrange these zones that are most efficient to their needs.

ClearStream RFID 7.0 also includes new features our customers have requested. For larger deployments, ClearStream 7.0 introduces features enabling quick configuration using device cloning and grouping. Users no longer need to arrange each individual scanner- setup time is now cut to minutes. Account Manager, Kristin Comeau, is most excited for the addition of quick scan (“keyboard emulation”): “This allows a user to leverage the accuracy and speed of RFID data collection into almost any application.” This feature allows for information to be directly implemented into another program like QuickBooks.
